Lexie Whitten brings 11 years of hands-on animal-care experience to every house sit. She studied Fish, Wildlife & Conservation Biology and Zoology at Colorado State University and completed a reptile zookeeper internship at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo. She has also volunteered with the Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies and the Nebraska Humane Society. Her experience includes dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and other pets.
Through Elevate Animal Care, Lexie personally provides insured, overnight care in clients’ homes. She is certified in Cat & Dog First Aid and CPR and has experience administering oral, topical, injected, eye, and ear medications. She is comfortable caring for senior pets and pets with medical, mobility, sensory, or behavioral needs, with each household’s care requirements reviewed individually.
