Milo is epileptic and we were uneasy, but Lexie eased every worry.
Elevate Animal Care is a luxury, in-home pet care service in the Denver metro. Founded and personally operated by Lexie Whitten, a zoologist with eleven years of hands-on experience, dog training, and first-aid & CPR certification. Bookings are limited by design.
You won't be handed off to a stranger. Every booking is Lexie, personally. Your pet meets one face and trusts it.
Animals do best in their own beds, their own bowls, their own light. Care happens at your residence, not a kennel, not a stranger's house.
A zoologist's background means more than affection. It means knowing what's normal, what isn't, and when to call a vet.
Milo is epileptic and we were uneasy, but Lexie eased every worry.
Handled her glaucoma eye-medication schedule and sent regular updates and photos.
She followed our instructions perfectly and kept our older dog's meds on schedule.
Treated our three dogs and cat like her own; the house was immaculate.
Pets were happy and healthy when we got home, and the house was spotless.
Lexie Whitten is a zoologist who's spent the last eleven years caring for animals from fur to scales: dogs and cats, of course, but also horses, reptiles, birds, fish, amphibians, arachnids, rodents, and the occasional crab. Her background includes formal dog training and an internship at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo, with working knowledge of the anatomy of most species.
She is certified in pet first aid and CPR for dogs and cats and administers medication across five routes: oral, topical, injected, ocular, and otic. Senior animals and special-needs cases are everyday work: diabetics, blind and deaf pets, anxiety, reactivity, mobility issues, amputees, and chronic medical conditions are all within scope. Elevate Animal Care is the full expression of that practice: a service for clients who want a higher tier of care than a typical sitter can offer.
Personally operated overnight stays in your home, plus thoughtful add-ons for households with multiple pets, complex routines, or extended travel. Custom arrangements available on request.
The cornerstone of Elevate. Lexie stays in your home for the duration of your trip, feeding, walking, playing, and keeping your animal's routine entirely intact. Mail collected. Plants watered. Lights on the right timers. You return to a calm pet and a tidy home.
For households with more than one animal, same standard of care, scaled appropriately.
Longer trips, complex medical schedules, exotic species, or specific household requirements. Priced by consultation.
A 30-minute home visit before your first booking. Always free.
Oral, topical, injected, ocular, otic for dogs and cats.
Lexie's training accommodates a wider range of medical and behavioral needs than the average pet sitter. If your animal needs more than a feeding and a walk, this is who you call.
The same statements Lexie shares with her clients on Rover: about her experience, her standards, and what she'll need from you to take the best possible care of your pet.
